The indoor environment.
A good and effective cleaning is a prerequisite for the workplace is welcoming and healthy - both for employees and for others.
In practice, there are three conditions that can ensure good housekeeping in the workplace:
Time enough for cleaning
If the budget is too tight, can cleaning be vulnerable: AKAREN APS may need "air" in the schedule, if something goes wrong, or if some days are more in need of cleaning than intended.
Most companies are forced to prioritize spending tight. But you should still work that will be put adequate resources for cleaning.
Good maintenance and fitting
It is difficult and more time consuming to clean properly if buildings and furnishings are worn and in poor condition. The same applies if the premises are furnished with many "dust traps".
At the same time, it is important that you choose equipment and furnishings of mind, it is easy to keep clean and keep veddlige.
Take AKAREN APS for advice before you buy new.
Shared responsibility for the task
AKAREN APS can only "deliver the goods" if there is cleaned up in the premises, and they are ready for cleaning. Therefore, good cleaning a shared responsibility of all employees and users at work.
Talk about how AKAREN APS must join forces and how all can contribute to make the cleaning job easier.
Clean up in the daytime, if possible: Visible cleaning strengthen respect for the cleaning task.
It is typical of indoor air quality problems that you rarely can point to a single cause of them. The indoor climate is affected by many different factors in a complicated interaction.
But it is clear that good housekeeping is one of the important decisions for a good indoor climate.
The dust must be removed
Good housekeeping is particularly important for air quality. Bad air can cause symptoms like irritation of eyes, nose and respiratory tract, respiratory infections, fatigue, headache and difficulty concentrating.
The symptoms may be due to particular dust in the air. The dust consists of skin flakes, paper dust, pollen, microorganisms and dust from carpets, furniture and building materials.
It can also come from outside: Heavy dust and dirt gets dragged into the footwear.
The best way to avoid problems with dust in the air is to clean properly.
Also make sure that dragged minimize dust and dirt into the building from outside. This can be done with special mats and grids at the entrance. It is especially important in buildings where many people going in and out.
Use the right cleaners
Also chemicals, perfumes and fragrances in the air can cause inconveniences.
Good cleaning means therefore that AKAREN APS, as far as possible avoid the use of detergents containing perfume, organic solvents or other harmful chemicals.
In particular, people with asthma and allergies, which may react strongly to smells and chemicals. They are often the first to experience symptoms that are general problems with indoor air.
Good housekeeping is a shared responsibility
Many cleaners find that their work is overlooked and poorly prioritized in the workplace. They rarely get praise - but they get in return often to blame if there is a problem with cleaning.
Even if the explanation is poor maintenance, lack of resources, or to the employees and users have not cleared up properly after themselves.
Clear agreements provide greater satisfaction
The daily cleaning is easier if we have clear agreements about which tasks AKAREN APS must solve - and what other people do.
It should be clear to all who instance. to clean up, remove coffee cups, switch soap and towels in the bathrooms and put chairs in place.
Clean up premises
In many workplaces, it is a recurring problem that is not cleared up properly: If the chairs have not been put in place, or if the tables littered with paper coffee cups, it is impossible to clean properly at the time set by.
We should have clear agreements about how the premises and the individual workplace will look like when the last man yesterday.
We should also have a clear procedure for how you follow up on whether the conditions are met.
Talk about job
If you are dissatisfied with the cleaning, it is a good idea to invite AKAREN APS with a staff meeting.
Perhaps you can even help to make cleaning better. Perhaps we can agree that the tasks should be prioritized in a different way.
At the same time, management should designate a contact person (eg the manager), which are responsible for contact between the daily users of the premises and AKAREN APS. So by all parties, who you go to if there are problems.
Remember that many cleaners are immigrants with a limited knowledge of the Danish language and Danish social conventions. They have extra need for an open dialogue on a daily basis to carry out their tasks to everyone's satisfaction.
Make cleaning visible
Cleaning Work should be visible to all. It is a good idea to clean during the day, if possible. It increases respect for the job - and it gives our staff better well-being and arbedsmiljø.
